Greenstar Highflow 440 Reviews (Combi Condensing)

Worcester-Bosch Greenstar Highflow 440
The Worcester-Bosch Greenstar Highflow 440 is a large floor standing condensing combination boiler capable of producing 20 litres (4.3 gallons) of domestic hot water per minute. The Worcester-Bosch Greenstar Highflow 440 is therefore suitable for installation in a medium to large household with one or two bathrooms. It should be noted that the Worcester-Bosch Greenstar Highflow 440 is suitable only for sealed primary water systems and cannot be used on open vent systems.
The Worcester-Bosch Greenstar Highflow 440 is 90% energy efficient and rated "A" for energy efficiency according to the SEDBUK ("Seasonal Efficiency in Domestic Boilers in the United Kingdom") database. The appliance features so-called "modulating" control of both domestic hot water and central heating which, in combination with separate consumer controls, mean that temperatures can be adjusted independently to suit your requirements. The Greenstar Highflow 440 also delivers hot water full mains pressure so it may be possible to incorporate a high pressure shower in your home without the need for a separate pump.
With regard to installation options routine inspection of the Worcester-Bosch Greenstar Highflow 440 can be performed from the front rather than the top so the appliance can be installed beneath a work surface. It is, however, advisable to make sure that any worktop above the boiler is removable in case major maintenance work is required.
Other features of the Worcester-Bosch Greenstar Highflow 440 include:
- Maximum 29.2kW output
- 12 litre expansion vessel 3 bar pressure relief valve
- Electronic ignition
- Fault finding diagnostics
- Integral frost protection
- Conversion to LPG ("Liquified Petroleum Gas") via a conversion kit if desired
* When review applies to a range of boilers, efficiency applies to best model in range. Always check with manufacturer.
