Ravenheat CSI 85b
Ravenheat Condensing System Innovation Combi Boiler is a new innovative design of boiler that can save you up to 35% on your heating bill and is 96% efficient. Ravenheat CSI 85b won the Institute of Domestic Heating and Environmental Engineers Award of Excellence because of its design, and the benefits to the consumer and environment.
To achieve the 96% efficiency of the model, Ravenheat CSI 85b boilers are fitted with an additional aluminium heat exchanger, which converts and uses much of the heat that is lost from gases in the outgoing flue, by condensing heat from the fumes. The second heat exchanger is fitted after the exhaust fan, which is currently uncommon in manufacturers and boilers.

as I understand it the second ally heat exchanger on this boiler is the same as fitted to the CSI primary A boiler (?)we have installed quite afew of these , some of the condensate/flue gas corrosion I have seen on some of these heatexchangers is so excessive they have had to be replaced , in my opinion the ally used cannot cope , also they are not designed to be taken apart !no consideration has been given to what happens if the condensate outlet blocks between the trap inlet and the heatexchanger outlet , could wipe out all the electronics ? I've donated 2 heatexchangers to a training centre!!
