105 HE Combi Reviews (Combi Condensing)

Baxi combination 105 HE
The Baxi combination 105 HE boiler is a high-efficiency model intended to satisfy even the largest of domestic hot water requirements. Based on Baxi's successful combination boilers, this high-efficiency product contains many of the features that made their previous range so effective.
The boiler itself is compact and lightweight, a contrast to its powerful capabilities. In-line with government legislation the season efficiency is above the 80% minimum and makes for an efficient boiler all year round.
- Large range of modulating output, from 11kW right up to 31kW.
- Sizeable flow rate of 12.1 litres per minute (at 35 degrees temperature rise).
- Rated band 'B' on the SEDBUK scale. Seasonal efficiency of 87.3% - ensures little energy is lost.
- Low noxious gas emissions means boiler is environmentally friendly –Class 3 (5 being the least emissions).
- Can be installed in unventilated cupboards and compartments –extra versatility when deciding where to site the boiler.
- Wall plate and pre-plumbing jig means simplified installation – also makes fixing and maintenance easier.
- Many optional add-ons – including integral timer (making programming easier) and LPG conversion kit (giving different fuel options).
- Simple LED indictors to show temperature, status and faults – makes diagnosing any problems straightforward.
- Compact in size and low in weight - only 44kg. Would slot into almost all households without much disruption.
- Extensive range of flueing options offers even more flexibility for when it comes to the situation of the boiler.
- Automatic bypass and frost protection ensure the safety of the boiler and the household.
- The boiler is WRAS approved (water regulations advisory scheme).
* When review applies to a range of boilers, efficiency applies to best model in range. Always check with manufacturer.

This boiler since fitted has been a constant source of irritation - 5 years worth. Even the 2 BG guys who installed it had different views on it's reliability. Baxi should provide BG Homecare as a package with this product because 2-3 times/year we have to call them out to repair it. Final straw was a Christmas breakdown. It's getting replaced. Oh! forgot to mention - when it is working probably 99% of the time it's great. Fast heating of the house and lashings of good pressure hot water but it's the other 1% which is a big problem.
